Wedding Day Decisions

The first few months of 2012 have been jam packed with wedding planning….

  • The couple mailed Save the Date cards after receiving the final images from their Engagement Photo Shoot.
  • In early February, Melissa and Jared attended a tasting with The Catered Affair and selected the food, drinks, and dessert that will be served at the wedding.
  • Melissa and Kim have attended several meetings with the florist to discuss colors, concepts and favorite flowers and to take steps towards figuring out the final floral design.
  • The mother/daughter duo also scheduled a hair trial for Melissa’s up-do and Kim’s hair styling. Both were thrilled with the results.
  • Melissa and Jared have been searching antique shops to find the perfect accessories for their Wedding Day.
  • There have been multiple trips to the Boston Public Library to meet with the wedding coordinator from The Catered Affair.
  • M&J have started to plan their Thailand honeymoon.
  • On St. Patrick’s Day, the couple visited their favorite Boston jeweler and designed their wedding bands.
  • Kim and Kris have both purchased their special Mothers dresses and will look gorgeous on 8.10.12.

Even though all of this wedding work has been completed, Melissa and Jared still have a lengthy list of things to do before August. Planning has been so much fun and the hard work will pay off when 8.10.12 marks the beginning of their Happily Ever After.

Honeymoon

We will honeymooning in the exotic country of Thailand. First we’ll enjoy time in the province of Phuket, relaxing on some of Thailand’s white sand beaches and sailing to tropical islands. Then we’re traveling north to the city of Chiang Mai. We’ll be staying in the heart of the Old City, touring temples, visiting markets, and riding elephants.

December 2011

Wedding planning slowed down during the month of December. We were busy decorating gingerbread houses, attending a surprise birthday party in Philadelphia, celebrating Christmas in Blackstone and Rochester, and ringing in the New Year with a Scottish feast.

We are so very excited for 8.10.12 and we’re looking forward to continuing to plan the best day ever.

Steinfest III

One of Jared and Melissa’s favorite traditions that they’ve developed is their Steinfest party. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite beer stein for an afternoon filled with drinking, grilling, and polka music. J&M’s 3rd annual Steinfest was a success and they’re excited to host the event next fall as a newlyweds.

And So It Continues

Wedding planning, wedding planning, and still more wedding planning!

The rehearsal dinner has been booked. The dress just arrived at Priscilla of Boston. Another hotel has been reserved with a nicely discounted room rate.

Jared is realizing that wedding planning is a lot of work!

Say Yes to the Dress

Melissa “said yes to the dress” on Thursday, September 1st during a trip to Priscilla of Boston.

Are you wondering what The Dress looks like? Be patient, you have to wait until 8.10.12.

Melissa still needs to shop for a veil and jewelry.

Wedding dress shopping was so much fun!
